Cherish Jacket Knitting Pattern (English)

Cherish Jacket is a model with a generous positive ease, extra length on the sleeves and wide rib trimming. The pattern consists of different sequences of structures as described below and in the diagrams.

It is knit top-down, while at the same time increases on each side of the shoulder seams and towards the centre of the neckline in the front are worked. In order to make armholes, the body is divided into back and fronts and worked separately back and forth, until the bottom of the armholes where the body is yet joined again, worked back and forth and finished with a twisted ribbing trim at the bottom. The sleeves are also worked top-down, in the round and finished with a twisted rib trim. The plackets are worked in double knitting with buttonholes.
