Wild Horses Sweater Junior Knitting Pattern (English)

Wild Horses Sweater Junior is worked top-down with saddle shoulders and set-in sleeves.
First, the shoulder pieces are worked flat in stripes with increases to shape the sloping shoulders. These stitches are placed on hold and later used for the neckline. Stitches are then picked up along each shoulder piece, while additional stitches are cast on for the back and front neckline, as well as steek stitches at each armhole.

The work is joined and worked in the round following the chart. At the base of the armholes, the steek stitches are bound off, and the body is worked straight down in pattern. The body is finished with a two-color rib edge and an i-cord bind-off in a single color.

The steek stitches are secured with a straight seam on each side, and the work is cut along the center stitch. Stitches are then picked up around the armholes, and the sleeves are worked straight down and finished with two-color rib and a single-color i-cord.

The held shoulder stitches are placed back on the needles, while stitches are picked up along the lower edge of the neckline at both front and back. The neckline is joined and worked in two-color rib with decreases at the junctions between body and shoulders, and finished with a single-color i-cord.

Circular needles 3.5 mm and 4 mm (40 cm and 80–100 cm), and double-pointed needles unless using magic loop.
