Wild Horses Sweater Knitting Pattern (English)

Wild Horses Sweater is worked top down with saddle shoulders and set-in sleeves. First, the shoulder sections are worked in stripes with increases shaping a sloping shoulder. The stitches are put on a holder. Now stitches are knitted up along the sides of the shoulder pieces while at the same time new stitches are casted on for the neck - front and back - and furthermore for the steek at the armhole. The body is joined and worked in jacquard in the round according to the diagram and finished with a horizontally striped double knit trim.

For the neck stitches are knit up at the front and neck while at the same time putting the stitches from the holders back on the needle. Now the steek is fastened and cut in order to prepare the opening of the armholes. Then stitches are knit up along the armhole and worked in the round in jacquard according to the diagram. The sleeve is worked straight down and finished with a vertically striped trim and finished with an i-cord.

The trim for the neck is worked in vertically stripes in the round while at the same time working decreases as on a raglan - because it is supposed to be double layered the backside of the trim is worked with increases, folded towards the back and fastened to the back side of the work.
