Wild Horses Cardigan Knitting Pattern (English)
The Wild Horses Cardigan is worked top down with saddle shoulders and set-in sleeves. First, the shoulder sections are worked in stripes with increases shaping a sloping shoulder. The stitches are put on a holder. Now stitches are knitted up along the sides of the shoulder pieces while at the same time new stitches are casted on for the neck - front and back - and furthermore for the steek at the armhole and mid front. The body is joined and worked in jacquard in the round. Now the steek is fastened and cut in order to prepare the opening of the armholes and body. The bottom of the body, plackets and neck are finished with a horizontally striped double knit trim, which is assembled with buttons and webbing ribbon.
Then stitches are knit up along the armhole and worked in the round in jacquard according to the diagram. The sleeve is worked straight down and finished with a vertically striped trim and finished with an i-cord.
