White Nights Tee Knitting Pattern (English)
White Nights Tee is an oversized design with a European shoulder construction. The pattern consists of alternating lace and smock sections, offset from one another to form diagonal lines. The tee is worked from the top down. First, the back is worked with increases on each side, creating a shoulder seam with a lace border. This lace border continues down along the front neckline using short rows at the transition between the back neck and neckline.
The fronts are then established along the shoulder seams by picking up stitches and working yarn overs as indicated in the charts. The fronts are worked with increases towards the neck, shaping the neckline. At the bottom of the neckline, stitches are cast on and the fronts are joined and worked straight down to the bottom of the armhole. The front and back are then joined, and the work is worked in the round and finished with a folded scalloped edge. The neck is finished with an i-cord.
The design is intended to have approximately 10–22 cm of positive ease, depending on the size. This means that you should choose a size that measures approximately 10–22 cm more than your own chest measurement. If your chest measurement is 96 cm, you should choose size M with a tee circumference of 114 cm.
