SexyBack Sweater Knitting Pattern (English)

The SexyBack Sweater has a deep V-shaped neck front and back. Starting off with the rib, the neck is shaped as a V by increasing. Then, working in Stockinette front- and back pieces are worked one by one, from the top down while at the same time binding off the stitches of the rib. All pieces are joined after shaping the armholes. Using German Short Rows the back of the sweater is made longer than the front piece.

Before working the sleeves, a gusset is shaped under the arm using centred double decreasing. Next the sleeves are worked top-down, back and forth using German Short rows in the beginning, and later on worked in the round.

Choice of size

The sweater has a positive ease of 10-15 cm. This means you should choose a size measuring 10-15 cm more than your chest circumference. If your chest measures 96 cm, you should choose a size M with a circumference of 111 cm.
