Put Your Head On My Shoulder Sweater Knitting Pattern (English)

Put your head on my shoulder is knit from the top down. First of the front piece is knit using short rows to shape the sloping of the shoulder. The stitches for the back piece are knit up in the cast on stitches from the front piece, which makes the shoulder gathering seamless. On each side of the armholes extra stitches are knit, and later folded to the backside of the work so as to make the piping marking the shoulders. Front and back pieces are then put on the same needle and finished knitting in the round with a rib in the end. The neckband is knit in a double rib, decreasing for a perfect fit close to the neck. Add an elastic band for an extra lovely finish. The sleeves are knit from the armholes and down, shaped with short rows and finished off with a dramatic decreasing for balloon-sleeve-effect and a short rib with a tight fit.
