Billie Jean Jacket Knitting Pattern (English)
The Billie Jean Jacket features a slanted shoulder construction, a deep V-neck, long sleeves, and an engaging two-colour jacquard pattern. The back is worked first, with increases along both sides that later create the slanted shoulders. Stitches are then picked up along each shoulder slope, from which the two fronts are worked separately with increases towards the bust. After the armhole shaping, the fronts and back are joined and the body is worked back and forth to the desired length. The hem and both front bands are then worked in one piece in solid-colour double knitting, with buttonholes placed along the right front edge. Stitches are picked up around the armhole openings. The sleeves are worked in the round straight down in pattern and finished with a solid-colour double-knitted cuff.
Choice of size
The model is designed to have 20–25 cm of positive ease. This means you should choose a size measuring 20–25 cm more than your own chest circumference.
If your chest measures 96 cm, choose size M with a circumference of 118 cm.
